Maintaining a scarcity consciousness takes very little effort at all. All we need do is read about all that’s wrong with the world in the newspapers on a daily basis. Scarcity is how the world generally operates. In the world of scarcity there is not enough to go around and in such a world we are never enough either, no matter how hard we try.
Prosperity consciousness is very different from the mindset of scarcity. A person with a prosperity consciousness inhabits a world of far greater optimism and possibility. Developing a prosperity consciousness is a bit like going to the gym. It takes practice and discipline before we start to see tangible results. Here are 13 ideas to get you going:

You can create your own blueprint of prosperity. Your state of consciousness allows, attracts, creates, or repels certain experiences into your life. Know that your consciousness is creative; this is the magical secret of living in the density of the earth plane. Your decisions and not your conditions determine your future. Commit to your highest destiny. You can consciously create your own blueprint for your life. Whatever you align your conscious and unconscious energies towards you will allow into your personal experience. Thoughts are creative at one level, beliefs and feelings yet another, words and actions again at another. Where attention goes energy flows and money is simply energy.

Your compelling vision will attract prosperity to you. The most important thing you can do is daily develop a larger vision for your life. Know that if you do not have a plan for your life then someone else will. Begin to think about the goals you have for the next year and the next five years. How do these goals fit together into a compelling vision? Begin to think about the intangible aspects of your vision such as freedom, love and security as well as the tangible things you want such as a house by the sea and a loving partner. Imagination and vision are keys to being prosperous. Focus on what you want. Stop putting energy into what you do not want. Energy follows thought. Intend that the best will happen, and you will find that it will. Begin to associate into being wealthy. See yourself doing well in life. Create a powerful metaphor for your life like “My life is a work of art in progress” or “My life is one long adventure”.

As you expand your belief you change your reality. A belief is something you hold to be true that generates a feeling of certainty in the thought. Thoughts are not reality. Beliefs can be changed. If you believe it you will see it and not the other way around. All personal breakthroughs happen as a result of a change in belief. Expanded belief is the foundation of prosperity, constricted or limited belief leads to the experience of lack and struggle. It is always useful to question what you assume about reality. Question all of these ideas and come up with your own. Open to expansive beliefs such as I am lucky around money, money is a plentiful resource, and I always have my needs met…

You can move through any resistance to being happy and wealthy. Know that you will have some form of resistance to your highest dreams. At the core of all resistance is fear and below that is pain. We do not want to face fear and pain and so we adopt all kinds of strategies to avoid these feelings. People who are unwilling to deal with their resistance will not be able to expand their zone of what is possible. Some people stop themselves because they associate being happy, successful and wealthy with fear and pain. If wealth is thought of as being a dangerous place then we will resist being wealthy. Resistance can show up as apathy, confusion, guilt, or shame. Some people have mixed associations with wealth, that is both pleasure and pain is associated with money. We can change our mental associations with wealth and thus open the way for our unconscious to want to assist us in creating wealth. The same principle can be used to change anything else we want.

You have within you the resources to live prosperously. Know that you have all the inner resources that you need. You may need to exercise them a little more. Trust yourself. Know you have (or can acquire) the resources to get where you want to go. You have a body that can move, a mind that can think and intuit, and feelings like passion and joy that can motivate you to move. You have tremendous conscious and unconscious resources that you have hardly tapped yet. Inside everyone there are latent gifts and talents waiting to be utilized. As NLP states there are no unresourceful people only unresourceful states. One way we dig into our resources or avoid connecting with them is the quality of the questions we think are important to answer. Asking questions like “Why am I such a consistent failure” is likely to elicit blame and self-attack. Asking a question like “What are my main strengths” is likely to elicit a more useful internal response. Begin to tease out resources like appreciation, curiosity, determination, flexibility and passion.

You can attract prosperity by maintaining a high vibrational state. According to NLP our inner state is all important. This idea is mirrored by many channeled sources who go further and say that our state determines our vibration which determines our reality. In this paradigm of thinking you can attract your higher good. Here both love and fear are equally highly magnetic. Therefore it is wise to choose love every time. Notice what keeps your energy high and what makes it spiral down. When our energy spirals down then our ability to attract what we want is hampered. Peace, passion, inspiration and joy are high prosperity states. Things like dancing, meditation, music, gorgeous art, inspirational books, and amazing poetry can keep your state high.

You can align yourself with the vibration of what you want. Know that deserve what you want. Know that you can have what you want. See, feel and sense yourself realizing your dreams. Associate into having the life you dream of. Use visualization for 10 minutes each day to intensely imagine yourself in the life you want to have.

You can choose to grow through joy and gratitude. One of the lessons on being on the earth plane is to learn to manifest your reality, to create all the things you need from the inside out. Learn to be prosperous and have fun. Play and be creative. Live to be all that you can be. Be childlike when exploring the universe rather than childish. Gratitude is a great way to attract more of your higher good. It helps you focus on the good things in your life which helps to open the door to them even wider.
You can learn to give and receive generously. Whatever you want start to give it away.

If you want more love then give love. If you want abundance then share abundance with others. If you want new opportunities then help others find opportunities. Be generous in your receiving. Allow others to give to you generously and learn to simply say thank you.

You can learn the discipline of keep taking action. Choose an area of your life and shake up your routine. Do something different. Persevere, take small steps towards your goals. Small steps are easier to take and integrate than large leaps of faith. Small steps are believable and therefore achievable. Research shows that 30 days is all it takes to change a habit. For one month do something different. Practice stepping outside of your comfort zone. Give away a flower to a stranger. Smile at a passing child. Give a cup of tea to a homeless person on the street. Treat a friend.

You can use both intuition and feedback to attain your goals. Your intuition can guide you towards making money and also help you avoid losing it. Trust and refine your feelings and gut instinct. At the same time use feedback to check that your intuition is on track. Know that money is one form of feedback. What is your bank statement trying to tell you. Look at what is working and what is not working. Both trust your intuition and use feedback from the world to adjust your plans and actions.

You can learn to let go of attachment to results. This can be a tricky one at the beginning. You need to both set goals and not be attached to how those goals are realized. Do not limit the ways that your goals and dreams can be realized. Be both unattached and at the same time expect the best.

You can inhabit a friendly and prosperous universe. Even though you live in a reality that spans the nightmarish to the divine you can choose the world you live in. You do not have to share a fearful or aggressive reality that some people choose. Many live in such realities and do not realize that they have the choice to change that reality. By choosing to live in a loving universe you must let go of all of the people and situations that inhabit a fearful world. You cannot make another person live in a loving world. You can only make that choice for yourself and then be an example to others. You are intimately connected to the universal source of life. The same intelligence and power that births and sustains the stars is available to help. The rule of thumb is that this power can only help to the degree that we understand we are channels for power. If we see this power as existing outside ourselves and plead for help it cannot flow through us or through others towards us.

It reveals a seven-step formula that will help anyone who uses it.

Joe Vitale, nicknamed “Mr. Fire,” was made famous by the recent hit movie The Secret. A bestselling author of several books, including The Attractor Factor, Joe Vitale says you can attract money spiritually - starting right now.

Here are the five steps Joe Vitale recommends, as presented in “Spirit Money: Five Steps to Attract Money When You Have None,” a section of his compilaton book The E-Code: 33 Internet Superstars Reveal 43 Ways to Make Money Online Almost Instantly - Using Only E-mail.

1. Get the Lesson

Vitale says there’s a reason why you are in the situation you’re presently in. The sooner you truly understand and fully process that reason, the sooner you will be able to move your life forward. “If you are broke right now, ask yourself what the lesson in being broke is for you,” he writes. “Don’t settle on flip answers…And don’t blame others.” Instead, confront the question honestly and comprehensively.

2. Obey the Impulse

Do you feel an inner tug or nudge of some kind? Vitale explains that, deep down, most people realize they are being pulled in a direction. They need to meditate on that and then act. He says that when you intelligently act on this nudge, it’s an example of “inspired action.”

3. Demand Resolution

Vitale cites Jesus as an example of spiritual determination. “When Jesus healed the sick,” Vitale explains, “[Jesus] didn’t say, ‘I hope you get better.’ Instead, he said, ‘Rise and walk.’” That’s the kind of resolve that people must have today.

t is debatable that the real lesson of Jesus’ miracles is a call to greater self-determination. Jesus’ purpose was much greater than that. But Vitale nevertheless is correct that one must “exert [his or her] power” to truly see results.

4. Give Thanks

Vitale says it’s better to contemplate your life’s situation, relax, and be thankful for it — than it is to rebel against it. The latter is wasted energy and counter-productive. The former is a constructive way in which we can receive the “great gift” intended for us in our present condition.

5. Expect Miracles

Again, Vitale alludes to faith and Jesus. He refers to the “mustard seed” quote for which Jesus is so famous, and points out that a mustard seed has no identity problems. “A mustard seed has no doubt,” writes Vitale. “It is clear about what it is. Start being a mustard seed.”

Joe Vitale’s five-step plan for attracting money will probably be too mystical and “New Age” like for some, but it would be wrong to dismiss it completely. There is much merit to it, even from a Christian perspective. It was, after all, Jesus who said: “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.”

Money is a means to an end, not the end itself. You cannot eat money, and it cannot keep you warm or cuddle you at night. Simply having money is not the goal. The goal is to use it to do whatever your heart leads you to do, and to do that which fulfills your divine purpose.

Many people who attend my workshops struggle with conflicting issues of morality and money. Perhaps you do, too. Perhaps you’ve been brought up to believe that money is evil. Perhaps you were taught the myth of noble poverty—that good people don’t dream about wealth and prosperity, because doing so is greedy. As a result, part of you chooses to remain poor, and your life feels constrained and unfulfilled. You may have a sense that your dreams will never be achieved, and you live with the fear that life is passing you by.

Then perhaps another part of you—the part that caused you to pick up this book—believes that God wants more for you, that it’s not God’s will for you to endlessly struggle from paycheck to paycheck. In your heart you know that God loves you and wants the best for you. You sense that God has a special plan for you, and that if only you had the financial means, you could be out in the world, doing God’s work and making a positive difference in the lives of other people, as well as fully making the most of this precious life that God has blessed you with.

A lot of us are torn between these two sides of ourselves because of the contradictory messages we’ve gotten our whole lives concerning spirituality and money. It’s no wonder that when it comes to our finances, so many people feel conflicted and confused.

LEARNING TO ACCEPT OUR DESIRES

Many people want something—a house, a car, a new pair of shoes—but feel that they can’t afford it. So they feel virtuous when they let themselves off the hook by saying, “Oh, I don’t really want that thing. And anyway, I shouldn’t be so materialistic.”

Contrary to popular belief, God doesn’t love a martyr. I should know; I played one for many years. Denying our material desires is not what God wants us to do. What we could choose to do instead is grow, develop our courage and faith, and stand up and say without guilt or hesitation, “This is what I want!”

If you desire something, and then you deny that you desire it, that’s cowardice and spiritual laziness. And what’s more, it’s a lie.

God wants us to do more, to have more, to play big. God doesn’t want us to deny our desires. After all, God put those desires in us, and we must celebrate them! Life is not about struggling, and being unhappy, and then dying. It is about enjoying and appreciating everything life has to offer. Through joy, we glorify God.

These ideas may be new to you. They often are to the people who attend my seminars, and those people often have lots of questions. Let me pose some of the most common questions and share my ideas about them.

“WHAT IS MONEY, ANYWAY?”

There is a lot written about what money is. Some scholars say it is “deferred service.” Some say it is energy. Some believe that money is a spiritual symbol of invisible spiritual substance. Spiritual substance is what the mystics call the invisible body of God out of which all things are created—your clothes, your jewelry, your shoes, and the chair you are sitting in. It’s all created out of one invisible substance called the body of God.

Money is an energy system we are using right now, which I believe will one day disappear. Money will no longer be necessary. Because, as Charles Fillmore, the cofounder of the Unity Church, says, “We shall serve for the joy of serving.” And when we do, everything that we need and want will flow to us. So we won’t need money.

But money is not going to disappear until we have mastered it, until we know that there is really no power in it, that it’s here as an item to serve us, and that we don’t have to earn it, or struggle for it, or do anything we don’t want to do to get money. We certainly don’t have to work a job we hate for it.

I believe that God is not way high up, way far away. I believe God is within us. I believe God is a part of everything we see and do, no matter how mundane. And what is more mundane than money? We touch it and handle it every day, in so many big and small different ways. You carry it with you. Every single piece of our money, down to the lowly penny, has a prayer on it: In God we trust.

“IS IT GREEDY TO DESIRE MATERIAL GOODS?”

Being rich doesn’t mean you’re greedy or bad. Still, when we think of accumulating wealth, many of us think of Ebenezer Scrooge, counting his coins in a cold, unlit room, and we don’t want to be like that. We may instinctively dislike and distrust people when we feel that they want everything for themselves, and nothing for anyone else.

But this need not be the case. Let’s take as an example Oprah Winfrey, who has far, far more money than any one person could ever need or possibly spend. If great wealth is an indicator of greed, then she must be one of the greediest people on the planet. But do we think that Oprah is greedy and materialistic because she lives in lavish mansions? Of course not! We’re too busy paying rapt attention to how she went to South Africa to work with AIDS orphans. We admire her for her genuine care for other people and for her giving and generous spirit.

Greed is when you say, “I want this, and I don’t want you to have it.” It’s not greedy to say, “I want lots, and I want you to have lots, too.” If you believe that there is no end to God’s abundance, then everyone should have all that they want, and then more.

Money is like love: The more you give away, the more you have. Love is a limitless resource, and so is money, and both were created by God to enrich our lives and allow us to live fully, joyfully, and completely. And you’re going to discover the truth of the law of compensation, that you cannot outgive God. Emerson said that: You cannot outgive God. And he was absolutely correct.

Most people consider MONEY a measure of life force. By expending life force, i.e. working, a person receives a certain amount of money in return. This is what I call materialistic money. This view has a very limiting belief system that says there are those who have and those who don’t have.

Many people project their unresolved issues onto money, including religion, sex, power, family, unresolved karma, self worth and a host of other highly creative possibilities. If, for example, you feel unworthy of love from your family and you’ve projected family issues onto money, then you won’t allow yourself to receive. Or you’ll energetically give off the information that you’re not worthy, ensuring that people don’t pay you for your services.

The way we think it is….
When you work with money materialistically, you perceive the source of money outside of yourself in a form that is constantly judging you. This means your life force energy flows out horizontally in front of your low belly to a false form that you consider the source of money. This might be the government, your boss, clients, parents or to whomever you give away your power. Energetically this creates a reversed flow to growth and evolution. In other words, it limits and restricts the inflow of money.

The way it really is…
If you strip money to its purest essence, it represents an energy flow from the Creator Source. It nourishes the life force within us. We live in an abundant world and universe, with plenty of life nourishing energy for all of us. When this concept is known throughout every fiber of your being then money transforms from a materialistic level to a spiritualized one. It becomes an expression of life force not a measure of it.

Life force energy naturally moves through us vertically while we are in our human bodies. To have greater amounts of money in your life, simply increase the flow of vital life force energy through your body. Your intentions will decide the form of expression that the life force energy takes, including money. What creates vital life force energy is joy and reverence for life. When you express your life force energy with joy and reverence, money will naturally follow. Below are four simple, but profound steps to apply this principle and increase the flow of money in your life:

Affirm the abundance of life force in your life. All that is in your life is an expression of what you have created from life force energy. If you are only noticing the lack of money, you are affirming a story that there is not enough life force. This reduces the flow through you as whatever you place your attention increases. Your home, car, food, clothes, family, work, health can all be areas that you can affirm as a positive and abundant life force flow. The traditional form for affirming is to express appreciation from your heart to the Creator Source for all that you have.

Acknowledge the forms that nourish you spiritually and emotionally. That might be a religious or other spiritual organization. It might also be an organization that affirms your reverence for life as it works to end world hunger, bring aid to those who need medical help or provides homes for the homeless. Whatever the form that spiritually nourishes you, it should be something that you feel passionate about. The traditional form for acknowledgement is donating money.

Pay it forward. By generously donating money at the beginning of the month before all the bills are paid, you are making a powerful statement that you are in a place of thriving not just surviving. Generosity opens the channels for life force flow. Energetically you are also calibrating your field to that which spiritually nourishes the life force within you. This magnetizes your field. Since money is highly magnetic then you attract more of it to you. You also attract other forms of abundance as well.

Add intention to your money. When you work with spiritualized money you are free from those agencies that try to control you. Each time you spend money, you are making an energetic statement about what you stand for, what you value. You can take this concept even further. When you pay the electric bill, your taxes, or a credit card, your money can carry your spiritual values with it and become an agent for change…no pun intended! Simply link your check or money to your spiritual values with an intention. Want to see your tax money support education, peace, tolerance? Tell your check to do that.

Here are five quick tips to attract more money into your life:

1. Appreciate money! If even a penny shows up on the sidewalk, thank Money for the gift. Don’t worry about denomination; appreciate everything. Think of how good you feel when you are valued for even a small gesture. It’s the same for Money. Every time you practice receiving and appreciating, you train the universe to send you more.

2. Strengthen your Boundaries. I define boundaries as the courage to say “yes” to what you want and “no” to what you don’t want. You teach the universe how you want to be treated with every choice you make. Let go of what others think about you, and be true to yourself. Clear the clutter and energy drains in your life. Weak boundaries attract exploitation, resentment, and a sense of powerlessness. Strong boundaries build your self esteem, and they free you to focus on what is important to you. This is very attractive.

3. Make a Wish List. Make a list of 100 things you would be, do or have if money were no object. The length of the list stretches you out of scarcity thinking. The items on the list put what you want on your radar. Wish lists are magical. Through a mental process called Reticular Activation, your mind will start to discover opportunities to manifest the items on your list that may have been invisible to you before. Notice how things on your list will “show up” with the means to pay for them!

4. Become an excellent money manager. Automatically divert a percentage of your income into a wealth building/financial freedom account. Get in the habit of building wealth, even if you are paying down debt. And set aside something to give to the charities and causes you care about. Nothing builds a sense of abundance like the ability to give to others!

5. Surround yourself with the people who have mastered what you want to learn, and you will evolve yourself that much faster. I call this Success by Association. We naturally take on characteristics of the people we are around the most. If you want to be financially free, spend your time with financially successful people who share your values. Pick up their mindset and practices for wealth building. Your worldview and your behavior will naturally shift to support more abundance.

Riches are of the mind. Let us suppose for a moment that a physician’s diploma was stolen to gether with his office equipment. I am sure you would agree that his wealth was in his mind. He could still carry on, diagnose disease, prescribe, operate, and lecture on materia medica. Only his symbols were stolen; he could always get additional supplies. His riches were in his mental ca pacity, knowledge to help others, and his ability to contribute to humanity in general.

You will always be wealthy when you have an intense desire to contribute to the good of man kind. Your urge for service—i.e., to give of your talents to the world—will always find a response in the heart of the universe.

I knew a man in New York during the financial crisis of 1929, who lost everything he had in cluding his home and all his life’s savings. I met him after a lecture which I had given at one of the hotels in the city. This was what he said: “I lost everything. I made a million dollars in four years. I will make it again. All I have lost is a symbol. I can again attract the symbol of wealth in the same way that honey attracts flies.”

I followed the career of this man for several years to discover the key to his success. The key may seem strange to you; yet it is a very old one. The name he gave the key was, “Change water into wine!” He read this passage in the Bible, and he knew it was the answer to perfect health, happiness, peace of mind, and prosperity.

Wine in the Bible always means the realization of your desires, urges, plans, dreams, proposi tions, etc.; in other words, it is the things you wish to accomplish, achieve, and bring forth.

Water in the Bible usually refers to your mind or consciousness. Water takes the shape of any vessel into which it is poured; likewise, whatever you feel and believe as true will become manifest in your world; thus you are always changing water into wine.

The Bible was written by illumined men; it teaches practical, everyday psychology and a way of life. One of the cardinal tenets of the Bible is that you determine, mould, fashion, and shape your own destiny through right thought, feeling, and beliefs. It teaches you that you can solve any problem, overcome any situation, and that you are born to succeed, to win, and to triumph. In order to discover the Royal Road to Riches, and receive the strength and security necessary to ad vance in life, you must cease viewing the Bible in the traditional way.

The above man who was in a financial crisis used to say to himself frequently during the days when he was without funds, “I can change water into wine!” These words meant to him, “I can exchange the poverty ideas in my mind for the realization of my present desires or needs which are wealth and financial supply.”

His mental attitude (water) was, “Once I made a fortune honestly. I will make it again (wine).” His regular affirm-ation consisted of, “I attracted the symbol (money) once, I am at tracting it again. I know this, and feel it is true (wine).”

This man went to work as a salesman for a chemical organization. Ideas for the better pro motion of their products came to him; he passed them on to his organization. It was not long until he became vice president. Within four years the company made him president. His constant men tal attitude was, “I can change water into wine!”

Look upon the story in John of changing water into wine in a figurative way, and say to yourself as the above mentioned chemical salesman did: “I can make the invisible ideas, urges, dreams, and desires of mine visible, because I have discovered a simple, universal law of mind.”

The law he demonstrated is the law of action and reaction. It means your external world, body, circumstances, environment, and financial status are always a perfect reflection of your inner thinking, beliefs, feelings, and convictions. This being true, you can now change your inner pat tern of thought by dwelling on the idea of success, wealth, and peace of mind. As you busy your mind with these latter concepts, these ideas will gradually seep into your mentality like seeds planted in the ground. As all seeds (thoughts and ideas) grow after their kind, so will your habitual thinking and feeling manifest in prosperity, success, and peace of mind. Wise thought (action) is followed by right action (reaction).

You can acquire riches when you become aware of the fact that prayer is a marriage feast. The feast is a psychological one; you meditate on (mentally eat of) your good or your desire until you become one with it.

True abundance is having all you need to do your life’s work – the tools, resources, and living environment – and to live a life filled with joy and aliveness. Abundance is not an extravagant, glamorous style of living maintained purely to impress others or one that does not support your true aliveness and life’s work. Part of the essence of spirituality is the belief in true abundance – of time, love, and energy. You teach others by setting an example. It may be hard, if not impossible, to help others lead abundant lives if you do not have a feeling of abundance about your own life. You do not want living at a survival level and experiencing lack to be the examples you set. When you have the right amount of money and money works in your life, people will learn about abundance from your example.

Most war and strife come from a belief in scarcity. People who believe in scarcity often try to squeeze more and more out of nature, wasting the planet’s resources. If you want to contribute to planetary peace, you can start by believing in abundance for yourself and others. As society begins to believe that there can be abundance for everyone, new discoveries will be made that will provide unlimited energy and resources that do not pollute or deplete the earth, and there will be fewer reasons for war. There truly is the potential for abundance for everyone on the planet. If humanity believed in abundance for all, it could be created. Start by believing that it is possible for everyone to have abundance.

It is all right to have money. Some of you feel guilty about having money, especially when you look around and see others living in lack. Some people learn and grow as much by having a totally materialistic focus as others do by living in poverty. It is not more spiritual to be poor, nor is it better to be rich. If you are worried that it is not spiritual to have money, examine the times in your life when you had money, even if it was just a small amount. Remember how you used your money. You may have been able to help those around you even more. When you felt abundant, you probably felt generous and able to support others in their abundance.

The people who are clearest about money are not usually those who have large sums of money, or those who have none, but those who have just the right amount for them. People who have just the right amount are not burdened by too many possessions; their possessions serve them. They do not spend time and energy that would be best spent creating their life’s work to acquire or take care of material things. Having too much money can take you off your path if you must spend a lot of time taking care of it. Not having enough money can also take you off your path if it requires a lot of your time and energy just to survive. It is important for you to have enough money to live on. If you do not have enough, if you spend most of your time worrying about your rent and food, your time and energy are not available to do the greater work you came here to do.

Think of being rich as having enough wealth to carry out your life’s work. You may not need many material possessions to have enough. For instance, your life purpose may be to work with nature. You may live in a log cabin, spend little money, and still have all the natural resources you need to carry out your purpose. In that case, you would be rich. What is important is having enough money to do the work you came to do, and not having so much that it keeps you from the work you came to do. Having enough money means being able to put your vision into action, to transform the energy around you into a higher order. Some people may need many material things to accomplish their life purpose. They may need to work with a group of people who will only listen to and respect them if they have an appearance of wealth and power.

Material possessions may provide some with a spiritual experience, teaching them what they need to learn in this lifetime, just as not having money may be a great teacher for others. Some people gain great freedom and growth from having money; some people gain freedom and growth from not having money.

How much money people need is an individual matter; do not judge others for what they have or do not have. Some people may be amassing fortunes that will later be used for the good of humanity, even if at present they don’t plan on using their money this way and aren’t on a spiritual path. You cannot know the larger purpose of anyone’s path. It is good to measure people’s success not by how much money they make or have, but by the degree to which they are fulfilling their life purpose, are happy about their lives, have the right amount of money, and believe in themselves.

As you become more prosperous yourself, it is likely that you will be around prosperous people. As you think in terms of prosperity, your vibration begins to change and you attract other people who think in terms of abundance as well. Do not feel jealous or threatened by someone who is successful. Realize that if you are close to a person who is succeeding, you are beginning to have that same vibration of success yourself. Begin now to believe that everyone’s success means even more success for you. If everyone around you begins to succeed, then you are surrounded with the vibration of success, and your success will grow even faster. When you hear of other people’s good fortune, appreciate their success, knowing that it affirms the abundance that is available for you as well.

Many of you think that you have to get your work out to a large number of people or be number one in your field to truly be successful. It is not wrong to feel competitive if that feeling helps you do your best at your job, but don’t feel that others who succeed in what you are doing can take away from your success. There is an unlimited supply of success. Every person in the world can be successful. Realize that you have your special place, and what you are here to do is in some way special and unique, no matter how many people are doing similar things. Are there people or companies you are competing with? Are you worried that their success might mean a loss to you? Take a moment to picture them succeeding beyond your wildest dreams. Then, imagine a reason why their success will be beneficial to you.

Know that there is no one else in the world who is going to do your work exactly as you do it. Even if it appears that others are doing the same work, they are probably reaching a different group of people, or reaching the same group in a different way. It is better to focus on living up to your potential. Are you putting the wants of people you serve first? Are you following your inner messages? As you do, you will shine. You will have all the business and abundance you want. Enjoy the process of getting your work out, not just to strive for recognition and fame. Let it be all right not to be number one, have the most clients, make the most money, or do it all yourself.

Do not worry about someone else taking away your idea, or doing what you are doing better than you are. As long as you do the best you know how and put out the finest quality product or service you can offer, you will be richly rewarded. It doesn’t matter what other people do. Even if someone is claiming the credit right now for your good work, don’t stop putting out quality work. You will be rewarded eventually. As with the tortoise and the hare, the one who works consistently and steadily, doing a good job all the time, will have more abundance and make a greater mark in the world than the person who takes shortcuts to beat everyone else out.

If you are competing with other job applicants for a job, or with other businesses for a client, or are wanting to get a grant or funding, do not view yourself as competing with others. If it is for your highest good to get the money, client, or job, you will. Always do your best in your grant applications, job interviews, and sales presentations; write or go to only those people your inner messages direct you to, and you will find your money or job. If you get it, do not worry that you have taken something away from someone else.

The universe is perfect and abundant, and others will receive exactly what is best for them. You cannot take away from others. Your opportunities are meant for you, and those that aren’t for you will be given to others. If you are competing for anything right now – a job, funding, a loan, a scholarship, or an apartment – see if you can let go of your worry and trust that the best outcome will occur for all of you. Trust that what is meant to be yours will be yours; the universe is always working to bring your higher good to you.

Don’t view your coworkers or those around you as competitors; see them as friends. Cooperation will get you much further than competition. One man who worked for a company wanted to be the vice president in a short period of time. He went around telling everyone of his ambitions, often praising his own work. He undermined the work of other employees so that his own work would appear better, and tried to take the credit himself for work that others had done. Another man in the same company simply wanted to do the best job he could. He was constantly thinking of his fellow employees, took on extra jobs, helped his boss out whenever he could, and performed the job he was hired for with attention and love. The first man was not promoted and quit in anger with many grievances against the company that “just couldn’t appreciate him.” The second man went on to become vice president.

When you think of others and yourself, have thoughts of riches, prosperity, success, and goodness. Having such thoughts helps make them come true. Let your thoughts about everyone be of their increased good. Picture everyone as successful. Sometimes people bring financial hardship to themselves by dwelling on other people’s financial difficulties, for what you focus on is what you draw to yourself. Rather than talking about how hard life is for people, send them compassion and light; see them getting out of their difficult situations and experiencing abundance. The positive pictures and love you send out will come back to you many times over.

One storekeeper increased his business dramatically by sending love and envisioning success for everyone who came into his store. People were magnetically drawn to his shop. If you hear friends complaining of lack, remind them of what they do have. When you are around people who talk of financial problems, see if you can change the subject or help them appreciate the abundance they have already created.

You may be hoping that your wealth will come from winning a lottery. To win, be ready to receive the money. While many of you hope to win, you don’t truly expect to win. People who win are committed to winning, and have dealt with their beliefs that say getting money this way is too easy, or too good to be true. Even more important, if winning the money would stop you from doing your life’s work, your higher self will keep you from winning. Winning a large sum of money can create more challenges than you think. It is important to have the right amount of money, and if a huge windfall would put your life out of balance, your higher self will most probably keep it from you.

Depending on how prepared you are to have a large windfall, many things in your life will change. Getting money gradually, at a pace you can adjust to, is a gift. You can get used to handling a larger energy flow in a balanced, stable way. You have the time to try out various actions before large sums are involved. If you aren’t prepared to handle a larger amount and you do get it, your higher self may find many ways for you to let go of it. Many people who have won or inherited large sums have also lost or spent them in just a few years; their own energy and the larger sum of money weren’t in harmony. Those who do keep their windfalls often keep the same jobs and homes and bank the money, slowly getting used to the increased amount.

Play lotteries if you grow from the process. For many people lotteries provide an opportunity to visualize themselves as abundant, and that picture helps them draw in abundance in other ways. Every time they buy lottery tickets, they feel the possible joy of winning, and bring that feeling into their lives. That may be precisely the feeling their souls want them to develop. You can create the same experience by visualizing your success, imagining having what you want, and making the picture as real and vivid as possible.

When you have money, see your money as a source of good; see it as potential to create higher purpose that has yet to be converted into substance and form. Keep picturing all your money in the bank or in your wallet as money that is awaiting your command to go out and create good for you and others. Appreciate your abundance, and realize that you have learned to tap in to the unlimited abundance of the universe. Your money is awaiting the opportunity to bring you good, and to improve your life and the lives of others.

Make sure the pictures you place on your wheel are exactly what you want to see manifest in your life. Use colored pictures on your board instead of black and white for faster results. Search through magazines, brochures and ads and look for pictures, specifically color pictures, of what you desire. Cut them out and paste or tape them to your wheel.

Divide the board up into areas of finance, job, home & family, friendships, recreation, education, society/volunteer/tithe, special needs, travel, career, body & health, etc. Cut the poster board(s) into large circles, make several boards for various phases of your life, or just use one board and divide into pie pieces—one for each segment of your desires.

Use big, colorful poster boards to achieve big, colorful results. Small crowded drab boards lead to small, crowded, drab results. The sky is the limit. Do not hold yourself back from placing a picture in your board you have NO idea of how you will manifest. Your job is to focus on desire, and joy. The Universe hears that and brings the desire into alignment with All That Is.

Use appropriate colors to impress the subconscious mind more effectively and efficiently. For example, use:

· Green or gold for finances, fortune, job, career and money
· Yellow or white for spiritual understanding
· Blue for intellectual accomplishments, book writing, degrees, schooling
· Orange or bright yellow for health, energy, and vitality
· Pink, rose, or warm red for love, harmony, marriage, and happiness in human relationships, family, and home

Color is vibration and energy. What we are doing is working and playing with energy, so choose whatever colors you personally resonate to for what you want to achieve.

Place a spiritual symbol in the center of the board to give your desires spiritual protection. Using something to symbolize Mother/ Father God is a good idea because this is where our good comes from. It opens the door for what you have pictures of or for something better to come to you. Examples would be pictures of Jesus, the Bible or Torah, Mother Teresa, Buddha, Ascended Masters, Angels, Guides, personal totems, a picture of praying hands or spirit guides or a copy of the Lord’s Prayer. One of my boards even has a psychically charged Blue Dot I cut out from the National Enquirer.

Under this center picture write words such as:

“I now choose to be open, receptive, and obedient to divine instruction and guidance.”

“The divine plan of my life now takes shape in definitive experiences, leading me to continually higher levels of health, happiness, success, and prosperity.”

You may also want to place a picture of yourself on each wheel so that your subconscious can see you associated with the pictures you wish to materialize. However, your subconscious will get the message very clearly with or without your picture.

Need some ideas as to what to put on your vision board? Well, what’s your calling? What makes your heart sing? When you focus on these areas, your joyful energy increases and this benefits everyone. This quickens the manifestation process. When we do what we love the prosperity follows, so take charge of your schedule and spend more time on projects and activities close to your heart. Make choices that honor your priorities and support your life’s mission.

Along with pictures, write affirmations under the pictures. If you don’t know of any, cut out words and phrases from newspapers and magazines to create your affirmations or browse through my sections on affirmations and choose one or modify one to your liking.

Here are some examples from Catherine’s book that I particularly love:

“Divine Intelligence knows where my perfect job is for me and by focusing on the kind of work I desire, Divine guidance is bringing me my perfect job for the pay I want. The Divine plan for my life is manifesting now in my every experience for manifesting my desired job.”

“I now choose to be activated by divine love and guided by divine power in my work, which I perform in a perfect way for perfect pay.”

“I am now ready to be divinely guided to ______________________ (the right job, school, investments, etc.)”

“I am now ready to attract the information and support needed to establish and maintain divine order in all my financial affairs.”

“Divine intelligence guides the right buyer to this property. Everyone concerned is blessed by an orderly exchange of values.”

“Divine intelligence knows our need, knows where the right house is and knows how to manifest it for us at the right time.”

“I give thanks for this divinely orchestrated vacation. I am now ready for it to come into being in just the perfect way at just the right time for me and all concerned.”

If these are too wordy then make up affirmations for yourself in the way that works for you. You can cut out words and phrases from newspapers and magazines to create your affirmations.

Do not share your board with anyone that will try to talk you out of the things you want. Catherine Ponder says, “What is Sacred, is Secret”. I’m sharing my older boards with you so that you can see examples of the Boards.

Contemplate your wheel every day, preferably just before sleeping and just upon arising. The more you view the pictured desires, the faster they will come. You can also, have the picture reduced and carry a copy around with you so that you can view it several times each day.
