Everything in our universe is made from energy; our thoughts, our words, our names, our physical bodies, our emotions, the things we create and yes, even money.
Let’s look closer at the thing we call money. Johnathan Randolph Price called money My Own Natural Energy Yield. If everything in the universe is made from energy, then so is money. Money wears many faces to many people. Some of us see it as security, while others see it as power. Unfortunately most of us have been conditioned to see money as some sort of problem we have to worry about. This pervasive fear of money is what we call poverty consciousness. 80% of people are worried about simple survival, food, shelter and therefore in poverty consciousness. If someone is in poverty consciousness they cannot create, manifest, of connect to their own divinity or the divinity of others. The opposite of poverty consciousness is prosperity consciousness. Ask yourself if you today have enough money, wealth, opportunity to satisfy your needs and goals? Or do you constantly worry about money? Are you counting every penny in your bank account? Do you live paycheck to paycheck? If you do, then on some level you’re in poverty consciousness and therefore cannot create at your optimum level.
How you feel about your-Self is a good indicator how you feel about money. On some level, each of us has been conditioned by our parents and our cultures how we see ourselves and the world around us. Part of this picture is how we feel about money. Think back to your childhood. What was your conditioning about money like? Did you parents teach you that money was hard to come by or that you had to work hard for your money? Did you parents worry about money and therefore see it as a problem? Did your religions teach you money is evil? These are all subconscious conditions that have been put upon us and have largely shaped how we feel about money today. As business owners and community leaders, these can hold us back energetically.
Let’s do a little experiment. Take out a piece of paper money from your wallet now. Hold it in your hands and close your eyes. Breathe deeply. Mentally ask yourself, “how do I feel about money?” and wait for the answer. You might get a thought, a word, a feeling, a sensation. Does your stomach tighten, do your palms sweat or do you feel calm and in control? Do you feel icky because the money is dirty, do you feel afraid because of its power, are you worried because you feel there is not enough? Pay attention to these subconscious reactions.
Because money is simply energy, then it is subject to universal laws that govern the universe, specifically the Law of Attraction. The Law of Attraction states that when you fix your mind on an image or condition that image or condition is immediately attracted to you. The Buddha said “we are what we think.” Your life therefore is a reflection of your thoughts. Are you positive or are you negative? Do you feel abundant or do you feel poor? Do you feel worthy or unworthy? Do you love yourself or not? These thoughts will directly impact your ability to create money which is one form of divine abundance.
The mind has two components: the conscious and the subconscious. While you subconsciously desire to attract money, you may also be subconsciously repelling it. The conscious mind is the one we are aware of that composes our rational thought and reason. The subconscious is hidden beneath the conscious and controls our bodily functions, our breath, our imagination and psychic development. The subconscious is always working and processing information. Since it incapable of reason, it simply accepts whatever image is implanted within it. If you think positive thoughts, you will attract positive conditions. If you fear negative conditions, you will have unwittingly created those conditions by the power of your thought.
We can voluntarily plant positive seeds in our subconscious through meditation, mantras, prayer or affirmations. An affirmation is a statement of fact affirming to the Universe some thought or condition that is already created into physical form. An affirmation uses positive language in the present tense and specifically describes a desired outcome.
You don’t say “I want to be rich.” First of all, the word want implies a condition in the future that may or may not develop. Second, the word rich is relative and not specific enough. A better example would be “I am financially abundant”.
Create 3 positive affirmations for yourself about money using present tense language in the now. To effectively use affirmations, use the 1-2-3 model.
Take the 3 affirmations you’ve created that resonate with you.
Step 1 - in the morning, read each of them out loud
Step 2 - in the afternoon, write each them out
Step 3 - in the evening, read each of them out loud
Repeat this cycle for 30 days and then you can switch to 3 new affirmations.
In the next thirty days, pay attention to your thoughts and words. Use only positive images, language and words and see how abundantly your life will change! Make money your friend!
Contrary to popular opinion, creating unlimited financial wealth won’t come from chasing more money.
Now don’t get me wrong, I can help you make more money–plenty of it! And if the statement above seems counterintuitive to you, then that’s exactly why you and I need to spend more time together. Check this out…
A recent Gallup poll posted in USA Today found that 55% of those surveyed state their families are worse off financially today than they were this same time last year. This is the highest number since 1976, and it’s an eleven-point jump since February of this year.
Interestingly enough, in the very same survey, 26% say they’re better off than they were a year ago. What gives?
How is it that in the same economy (with the same government officials, the same war, same gas prices, same housing market) that one group thinks their finances are doing poorly but another group actually believes things are better?
Now you might think that the 26% are just some of the more privileged few… maybe. But just suppose there’s more to it than that. The answer to this question resides in a money paradox that a distinct few understand and most may never grasp. We’ll get to that in a minute.
While many people believe wealth is equated to vast sums of money, if you trace the root of the word wealth back to its origins, it literally translates as “well-being”.
Now I know you might be thinking, “Well Ettore, if I had more money, I’d have more true wealth and well-being!”
But studies show that this is not necessarily the case… In fact, most often it’s not.
A recent survey posted by US Private Banks surveyed individuals with a net worth of $38 million or more. Of those surveyed, 65% stated that they felt “financially insecure.” Now get this… These are people with a net worth of at least $38 million! So maybe it’s not just the privileged few that are feeling better off than last year.
Think about it, if you have a net worth of $38M and wake up in the morning feeling financially insecure… with wealth being defined as well-being, are you truly wealthy? The obvious answer is a resounding “No!”
Many Americans believe that a new president is the answer to our situation. Many believe that dealing with the oil and gas companies will make things better. Even more think that if we get out of the war in Iraq, all will become harmonious. While all of these issues may have an impact, they are in no way the answer.
So what is the answer? What will bring more financial well-being into your life? The answer resides in the thoughts, feelings and actions of you as an individual.
First, shift your focus of attention.
Get your mind and continued thoughts off the economy and all the problems being pumped into your home by the mass media. As difficult as this may be, those who are truly wealthy–financially and otherwise–choose where they place their attention and stand guard like a watchdog at the gates of their mind.
Peter Lynch once stated, “I don’t spend more than 15 minutes a year thinking about the economy.” Lynch’s results speak for themselves. Stop. Just stop for a moment and think rationally… There’s no way in hell that any company’s true worth can fluctuate as dramatically on any given day as the New York Stock Exchange would indicate. It’s nothing but an opinion–and other people’s opinions are only predictions if you allow them to be.
There’s a principle in our universe which states: Energy flows where attention goes. So consider this: Where are you directing your energy and attention every single day? Regardless of what you answer, your current results will tell the truth… for your results are a reflection of you.
Second, stop chasing the money.
Science tells us that everything is vibration, including your thoughts, feelings and actions… And yes, even your money. Now think about this… If you’re constantly thinking, feeling and acting (what I call going “3 for 3″) as if you “need more, need more,” what’s the real message you’re sending out energetically? You guessed correctly if you said the message is, “You don’t have it.”
The universe hears the real message at the level of vibration and states, “Your wish is my command!” As a result, you’ll end up living your life always wanting but never having. You’ll never get financially wealthy with that strategy.
Third, be grateful for all the good that currently exists in your life.
If all things are an energetic vibration (which they are) and energy flows where attention goes (which it does), then to place your consistent attention upon the things for which you’re grateful is one of the most powerful things you can do. Unlike the message of “I don’t have it,” when you place your attention with gratitude on all the goodness that currently exists, it’s like stating, “Thank you for this. Send me more.” When you get grateful, the universe sends you more to be grateful for.
Finally, consistently focus on providing more value and service to the world.
Take the attention off of “What can I get?” and place it upon “What can I give?” If you want to have more, give more. Winners always give ten times more value than they ask for in return.
Doubt me? Look around. I challenge you to find a millionaire who’s not surrounded by six-figure income earners. Likewise, find any billionaire and they’ll be surrounded by multimillionaires. Why? Because you only profit handsomely in life by providing service and value to others. In other words, you’ll only get your big dreams by helping others get theirs.
Richard Branson, founder of Virgin Records and Virgin Airlines. There were two things Richard stated that really reinforced what I knew to be true. First, he stated, “I’ve never done anything in my life to make money. I just always ask, ‘Is it going to be fun?’”
Next, Richard stated, “Money is just a convenient way of keeping score.” If you truly understand this principle, you’ll realize that in a capitalistic society, the amount of money you have (or don’t have) is directly correlated to the depth and span of the value you provide.
So here’s the money paradox I mentioned earlier:
The greatest way to attract and create more money (or anything for that matter) is to not need it.
Now think it through again… If you need something, the real message you’re sending out is, “I don’t have it.” Your neediness is like a raging bonfire, and you’re throwing another log on it day after day, hoping it’ll go out. The only way to squelch the fire of your lack of financial abundance is to not feed it.
Just continually focus on providing tremendous value and service.Henry Ford so wisely put it years ago, “Money will never be achieved when sought after directly. It only comes as the by-product of providing a useful service.”
Truth is timeless.
Get your attention off the economy and your problems, stop chasing the money, become continually grateful for all the goodness you currently have and consistently think, feel and act on what you can give versus what you can get. You’ll have true wealth and well-being in every area: relational, mental, physical, spiritual and yes, financial. And just like Branson and so many others who have figured it out, you’ll have a lot of fun doing it.
Last night I have gathered some really powerful insight after a mastermind with my group and after that I went to eat a pizza with my uncle whom is very experienced on this topic…The Subconscious Mind…so…
I have a question for you…Are you attracting into your life experiences, people, opportunities consciously or by default?
What does it mean? Well the vast majority of people don’t know that they don’t know. In the previous article on this blog I have explained the Competence Learning Matrix…(have a look at it…it is enlightening).
We have been conditioned to believe that life it what it is…and it is what it is because it has been passed in this way and that is it.
To explain this I will go little further down the “rabbit hole”. Stay with me ok!?
The environment play a major role in shaping what we are and who we are…and the way we think about life and everything around us. We need to understand and become conscious about the fact that we were empty when we were born. Yes…empty. Picture a bucket with nothing inside…THAT IS YOU! The understanding of this fact will make you aware of the reality and the real situation enable you to make the point in your life right now…and providing you with the tools to shift your life if you really want to.
And then…what went through in that bucket? Have you ever pictured yourself in this way? Have you ever wondered where all your thinking, feelings, emotions and beliefs come from?
Very simple…from your environment…YEAP!!! You have been modeled and shaped from all your surrounding…what you heard, seen, felt at that time with you little Consciousness.
Dr. Konrad Lorenz was a Nobel Prize winning Austrian zoologist, ethologist, and ornithologist. Lorenz studied instinctive behavior in animals and working with geese, he rediscovered the principle of Imprinting.
What is the Imprinting phase? Imprinting is the term used in psychology and ethology to describe any kind of phase-sensitive learning (learning occurring at a particular age or a particular life stage) that is rapid and apparently independent of the consequences of behavior.
Who was then your environment related to the Imprinting phase? Your family…and after that your friends, and all the people that you have picked along the way. Yes sir. Stay on this thought for a moment…think and embrace it. If you have done so…it will be easy to understand your life the way that it is…and start to become conscious about it.
Looking your life with this new sight you should be more aware if you are attracting by default or consciously. This is the Missing Step in attracting anything in you want to become. Your Subconscious Mind…acknowledging the existence of it is the first step (You Know that You Don’t Know) …exploring it to understand and see what is inside is the second step…(You Know that You Know).
My dear friend it is time to change the world and the only way to do it…is Changing one person at a time…and it start with YOU! ME! US! and our Subconscious Mind…Yes…
The Path To Mastery, The Consciousness Competency Matrix
Ever wondered why some people make so much money, create wealth and build fortunes with easy? Well is matter of understanding this information and when you will look at it you will never be the same again. Making money and creating wealth as everything else is a learnable skill like driving, mowing the lawn, playing soccer, swimming, eating, etc.
Did you know that there is a way to describe this path from grasshopper to Master?
Yes this is the Path To Mastery…so let me introduce…
The Five Stage of Learning…AKA: The Conscious Competence Ladder, Conscious Competence Matrix, Learning Matrix
It is reported that there are five (5) main stages to learning. In psychology, the five stages of competence, or the “Conscious Competence” learning model relates to the psychological states involved in the process of progressing from incompetence to competence in a skill.
When we find that we don’t know something important, we’re often motivated to learn more. However if we’re blissfully unaware of our ignorance, there’s little we can do about it.
One of the first steps on the journey to acquiring new skills is therefore to be aware of what you don’t know. This discovery can be uncomfortable, as can be the experience of not being very good at what you’re trying to do (as you won’t be, when you first start to learn.)
The Conscious Competence Ladder is a popular and intuitive approach (attributed to many different possible originators) that helps us manage our own emotions during a sometimes dispiriting learning process. More than this, it helps us to be more in touch with the emotions of the people we are teaching, so we can better coach them through the learning process.
Explaining the Model:
According to this approach, Consciousness and Awareness is the first step towards gaining knowledge. To learn new skills and to gain knowledge you need to be conscious of what you do and do not know. (E.g.: What do you know about money? And what you do not know?)
Next, competence is your ability to do things. You may be highly competent in one area, but have no skill in another. Your competence level will depend on the task or job at hand. (E.g.: The vehicle to make money, expertise, business model, stocks, trading commodities…the skills developed)
The idea is that as you build expertise in a new area, you move from “Unconscious Incompetence” to “Conscious Incompetence” and then to “Conscious Competence”, finally reaching “Unconscious Competence” and the “Enlightened Competence” . These are explained below:
Level 1 – Unconscious Incompetence
(You Don’t Know that You Don’t Know)
At this level you are blissfully ignorant: You have a complete lack of knowledge and skills in the subject in question. On top of this, you are unaware of this lack of skill, and your confidence may therefore far exceed your abilities.
Level 2 – Conscious Incompetence
(You Know that You Don’t Know)
At this level you find that there are skills you need to learn, and you may be shocked to discover that there are others who are much more competent than you. As you realize that your ability is limited, your confidence drops. You go through an uncomfortable period as you learn these new skills when others are much more competent and successful than you are.
Level 3 – Conscious Competence
(You Know that You Know)
At this level you acquire the new skills and knowledge. You put your learning into practice and you gain confidence in carrying out the tasks or jobs involved. You are aware of your new skills and work on refining them. You are still concentrating on the performance of these activities, but as you get ever-more practice and experience, these become increasingly automatic.
Level 4 – Unconscious Competence
(You Don’t Know that You Know – It Just Seems Easy!)
At this level your new skills become habits, and you perform the task without conscious effort and with automatic ease. This is the peak of your confidence and ability.
Level 5 – Conscious Competence of Unconscious Competence (CCUC) “Enlightened Competence” (You Know that You Know of what You Don’t Know that You Know ) – Conscious of my own unconscious competence. At this level, the person has not only mastered the physical skill to a highly efficient and accurate level which does not anymore require of him conscious, deliberate and careful execution of the skill but instead done instinctively and reflexively, requiring minimum efforts with maximum quality output, and is able to understand the very dynamics and scientific explanation of his own physical skills. In other words, he comprehends fully and accurately the what, when, how and why of his own skill and possibly those of others on the same skill he has. In addition to this, he is able to transcend and reflect on the physical skill itself and be able to improve on how it is acquired and learned at even greater efficiency with lower energy investment.
Using the Tool:
The Conscious Competence Ladder helps us in two ways: It gives us reassurance when we need it, and it helps us coach ourselves and others through a sometimes difficult learning process.
During the Conscious Incompetence phase, we have the reassurance that while things are difficult and frustrating right now, things will get much better in the future. And when we’re at the stage of Unconscious Competence, the model reminds us to value the skills we have so painstakingly acquired.
As an approach to learn how to make money or create wealth, it reminds us that we may be moving through these steps as we learn the new skills:
Unconscious Incompetence: At the beginning of the process, we may be unaware of our own lack of competence, and may need to be made gently aware of how much we need to learn.
Conscious Incompetence: During this stage, we’ll need to provide plenty of encouragement, tolerate mistakes appropriately, and do what we can to improve.
Conscious Competence: At this stage we need to keep focused on effective performance of the task, and get plenty of practice and repetition.
Unconscious Competence: Although this is the ideal state, we’ll need to make sure that people avoid complacency, and stay abreast of our fields. we may also need to remind ourselves how difficult it was to reach this state.
I think the really important thing to take away from this information is as follows: when you find what it is you want to do – know where you are on the level and take the necessary steps to move on to the next step up. Knowing is half the Journey! Has it been said: Knowledge Is Power and Action close the Gaps.
